This has been a problem numerous time, I turn my phone sideways to swipe a comic through the pages and boom, refreshes the page and then the next time it just says can’t connect to website because the error keeps happening, don’t know what to do and it’s been happening for years.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem. This isn't the first report of having issues opening the site on iOS. Unfortunately, since me and my surroundings not using any iOS device, I can't test the site on it!
I'm always suggesting using Edge or Chrome to open the site.
