It’s Mo again. Sorry for leaving things on a bit of a cliff-hanger there. Let me finish up what I was saying in the last part.

Quick recap: I have a magic ring stuck on my finger. There’s a wizard’s spirit living in the ring that can magically transform my body anyway he wants. (Yes, that sentence is both true and totally insane.) At the end of the last part, he had turned me into a little girl, and I had been called in to work a shift at the coffee shop. Let’s see how that went.

Hello, I’m Maureen. People call me “Mo.” I have an unusual story to share with you. I don’t expect you to believe it, but maybe all that matters is that someone else knows what’s happening to me. I would feel a bit less alone, even if I’m never really alone now.

I’m not sure how to start this. Probably, it would be best if I just explained my problem first before going into detail about how it began. I’ve tried this many times before, but the wizard just gets in the way every time. (Yes, there’s a wizard in this story. No, I’m not joking. I only wish I was. This will get weird.) Later that night, the group from Department 8 had convened for Alice’s birthday party at a local chain restaurant. It was one of those places named after a day of the week that served an “endless” plate of some kind of appetizer. Around the same time that their drinks had arrived, they were already requesting a second plate.

“I am starving,” Alice declared and wiped her lips on a napkin. “A few magical transformations can really make a person hungry, it seems.”

“Agreed,” Ken mumbled, stuffing his face with something deep-fried.
